The latest release of veraPDF, the industry-supported, open source PDF/A validator, is now available for download.
Version 1.10 is the first release of veraPDF as part of the Open Preservation Foundation’s reference toolset.
This release has improvements in creating and cleaning up temporary files as well as parsing of text-related data in PDF documents, resulting in notable improvements in performance. 1.10 also fixes some minor issues that some users running Java 9 have reported. A number of other fixes and improvements are documented in the release notes.
Most of the changes in this release are in response to the constructive feedback we’ve received from users, and we thank them for their willingness to share their experiences with us, as testing and user feedback is key to improving the software. If you encounter problems, or would like to suggest improvements, please add them to the project’s GitHub issue tracker: https://github.com/veraPDF/veraPDF-library/issues.
