3D PDF Consortium logoThe 3D PDF Consortium is dedicated to promoting adoption of 3D PDF for visualization, collaboration, data exchange and the long-term archiving of 3D data.

Now a Partner Organization member of the PDF Association, the 3D PDF Consortium will be working within the PDF Association framework to share experiences of 3D PDF development and implementation with other members.

An area of particular focus for the 3D PDF Consortium is PDF/E, the subset of PDF technology designed to meet the needs of the architecture, engineering and construction industries. Another hot subject in 3D is the Product Representation Compact (PRC), a new ISO standard for 3D objects. PRC is native to the forthcoming PDF 2.0, and is thus also of interest to PDF developers.

There will be more news about 3D PDF and PDF/E in the near-future!
